A SUMMER LIKE DAY !

The weather is beautiful today, feels like summer. Warm bright sunshine and cool breezes ! The kind of day I love to be outside photographing what goes on at Our Country Cove !

We love these types of lanterns. We put liquid mosquito repellent in them and light them and it keeps them away, also looks nice with the flame at night !

We had topsoil and mulch delivered on Saturday and we went to work on our gardens. We are almost finished all the gardens. The weather was great for gardening, today its sunny, hot and sticky but that's ok I don't mind. I may tackle the back garden today or just take a day of rest.

Papa created his little garden under his work shop window and picked the plants he wanted for it ! Great job Papa looks wonderful !

THE STARTING OF OUR GARDENS

It’s been a slow start to our gardening this year due to the strange spring we have had .We started planting in our gardens on Wednesday and are still going , rearranging this and that and figuring out what plants would do well were. Tomorrow I am getting more plants . We have a large garden in the back by our hedges that has just gone wild and not with all flowers either so I have to clean that up this weekend and re plant that's going to be a big job ! It has been rainy yesterday and today and the more it rains the faster all the weeds grow, its tuff to keep up with them but we are getting there !

My new little Lilac bush.We have Lilac bushes in the back there but they are behind the sheds and I cant see them from the house but this pretty one I can. After we put it in the weather turned stormy and windy so we have it tied to these posts to stop it from toppling over whilst we wait for it’s root system to form in the ground.

And I need more ! lol

We have a barrel of flowers on each end of our patio !

Well this is just the tip of our gardening, we still have lots to do !

BUSY,BUSY,BUSY

We have been soo busy since last weekend. It was a long weekend for us here last weekend and Papa also took a few days off of work. Last weekend we celebrated our daughters birthday and had the family here for a BBQ, it was a great day lots of food and fun. The past few days have been planting flowers and bushes and tending to our gardens and Papa has been busy in his work shop photos of all that soon.It is raining today so it will be a day of rest and catching up on my blog reading !
