We have finished our back garden. We did a few little changes. We put the lattice up to perk it up a bit more! The day we went to the garden centre was when we put in the flowers and put the lattice up ! I like it!The back of the garden will grow a butterfly and humming bird mix of flowers ! cant wait for that !

TRAINING MISTY, A SUCCESS !

We are proud to say that our pup Misty is doing very well with her training to stay on the property. We had her out side with us for about 6 or 7 hours and not once did she pass the flags. All we have to do is say   FLAG!!  and she walks away from the area. Hubby even put a treat on the other side of the flags and she lay down just before them and barked for him to get it for her, she even does that if her toy goes past the flags .We played with her, did some things around the garden and she did so well. We are using the electronic collar and it works well, we have done all kinds of testing with her and she has passed with flying colors, She is a chaser of rabbits and squirrels and now will only go as far as the flags and either walk back to us or just lay down and watch the critters go about their business. Its so nice to have her with us as we are out in the yard .

POST'S

Some times I find it hard to post something every day, I mean, not every day there is something to tell , some days there is just nothing happening or we aren't doing much at all. So this is why I am writing this , cause, well, I have to post something , right?. I enjoy creative writing but these days my brain just doesn't want to get that creative . I mean, I am in my mid 40s and have the fun of the change of life already and my brain just doesn't want to work as well as it used to, I find myself now adays in the midst of a conversation and then pause and say, what was I saying ? ok, now that's bad ! I refuse to call it a Senior moment just yet , so I call it a sometimes moment , sounds better to me , Have you ever caught yourself putting the milk in the cupboard and the peanut butter in the fridge?, come on!, I know you have ! ya just wont admit it right ? Well,! I have got to the stage were I will admit it and tell it as a funny story, I mean if ya cant laugh at yourself then what the heck ! If I am asked a question about something that I have known for ages like the name of things , I am like daaa , I cant for life of me remember, but yet, I have known it for ages! AHAHAH ! age, is it just a number? or a demise of the brain, I often wonder ! My poor hubby is coping with it very well as he never knows what to expect , poor bugger ! We find ourselves joking about it alot . Have you ever seen the commercial were the couple cant straighten up after gardening and they are reaching out for each other for help, well, that's us , and its funny!, the thing is hubby is younger then me, not by alot but still younger and not having to go through the change of life, welllll ! not yet lol, I think I am going through it for the both of us lol . We are jokers and love to laugh, sometimes while grocery shopping , I think others must think we are nuts. The worst part of it all is when the entire family gets together, I tell you it can be quite the comedy show !, we all are either losing our minds and cant think straight or we are mimicking funny situations and neither of us care what others think either, but I tell ya we get alot of laughs from all ! Any who , I hope you enjoyed this little, lets say mindless post as even during this I had a brain malfunction! ok ok!, so I had more then one malfunction! lol. As country folk we have to be a bit nuts, I mean, who else would listen to our crazyness other then the animals and they dont care if you have a sometimes moment !  Have a great day !  Oh! and dont forget to smile !

CRITTERS!

This is just one of our critters we have visit us every day, we named him Dusty. He just loves collecting the seed off the ground from the feeders. We put plates of peanuts out for them as well and if the plates don't have anything in them in the mornings they whip the plates off of the stumps we put them on, or they sneak up the poles were the feeders hang and help them selves.

We have lots of different critters around but some are hard to photograph. They just don't want to strike a pose for us.

A QUIET SUNDAY !

Today was a quiet Sunday.  Our son and some family were  down for the weekend, but the weather wasn't very good, it was either hot and humid or rainy ! for the most part we just relaxed today,  I really enjoy just hanging around with family and chatting about things or nothing at all. To laugh at things that we all remember or tell stories of  our silly friends or family members and so on ! just to reminisce about things, its great. So now they have all gone home, a 3 hour drive, and all is quiet, sitting back and relaxing for the evening listening to the birds and nature as the night rolls in, until another day begins !

THE FINISHED SIGN!

This is the sign that hubby made for my shed, he did a wonderful job.

He made the entire sign by hand , right from the plaque design to the letters and the  potted flower. Next he will be designing and making a sign for his shed.

MY FAVORITE FLOWERS!

What Your Flowers May Be Saying

Carnation:Tradition is very important to you. Your down-to-earth attitude and innate ability to keep confidences makes you one of the most loyal and trusted friends. As a result, you are always surrounded by loved ones who come to you for guidance.

Daisy:
You notice things others miss. For example, the different shades of pink in the sky as the sun sets, the hint of sadness behind someone?s smile-which means you are a natural at drinking in all life has to offer.

WONDERFUL MORNING!

The weather  here this morning is beautiful. At dawn as the sun rises, all the song birds are so pretty when they sing as it echos through out the forests around us, We have our morning tea on the patio and watch nature dance around as they start their day. The birds , squirrels , chipmunks and bunnies all come out to eat, its wonderful. We have to make sure the feeders and plates are all full other wise they get a bit tiffed lol . It feels like we are at one every day with nature and find ourselves in a trance with the sweet smell of the fresh air and the sounds of  nature surrounding our country cove, from the sounds of horses whinnying, to the donkey up the road giving his two cents worth, to the occasional dog barking in the distance , to the rooters crowing as they greet the day . I cant think of anything in this world better then all this to wake to or live with then natures beauty , sweet fresh scents in the air, songs of birds and the calls of the wild.

ME AND CLYDE!

I found a old photo of me and my pony Clyde. I was 13 in this photo. I lived on a farm with chickens, sheep, cattle, ponies, ducks, dogs, cats and the few odd strays that would wander in  Clyde was a Welsh pony.
He was a 13 year old gelding that was used as a cart pony,  I had to re-train him for riding and teach him how to turn, as he cross walked as he did when he was pulling a cart! It took time but he caught on well!

LITTLE FARM CUTIES !

I have always loved the miniature farm animals!
